Geneva International Motor Show 2019

The Geneva International Annual Motor Show took place this year between the 7 March – 17 March 2019. The show is a ten day exhibition tailored to the Motorsport / Automotive trade, also open to the general public and hosted at the Palexpo, Geneva.

One of the shows objectives this year was to become more modern and focused on the future without losing the perspective of its nearly 100 years history. It was recorded on the last evening the visitor count was 602,000 one hour before the show was due to close.

Exhibitors this year brought their ‘A game’ having special experiences for attendees which involved them being able to take a drive on a race track simulator. The interest shown in these stands strengthen the shows intension to position the Geneva International Motor Show as an experience trade fair in the future.

Matt Charlton, Head of Business Development commented on the event saying “It was an interesting year at Geneva with a broad range of new and concept vehicles on show. Electric Vehicles, Hyper cars and a combination of the two being high on the agenda for a number of the exhibitors, all of which utilising the benefits of advanced composites in one way or another.”

Autosport International Show 2019

The annual Autosport International Show took place this year on 10 January – 13 January 2019. The show is a three day Motorsport / Automotive exhibition tailored to the Motorsport trade and the general public hosted at the NEC, Birmingham, UK.

This year the show held on-stage interviews, autograph sessions and meet and greets with past and present racing drivers from F1, Formula 3, World Rally Championship, Le Mans 24 hours, BTCC and industry commentators.

EPM celebrates one year anniversary

It has been one year since EPM Composites Limited was formed. Our journey started on the 1 December 2017. The accomplishments we have made in year one of the business is down to the hard work and determination of our staff being spearheaded by Managing Director, Lee Hickling.

This last year has been spent building customer and supplier relationships, establishing ourselves within the composite industry and recruiting new member of staff.

Our capability to manufacture components for moving vehicles throughout the UK is a great achievement for our factory based in Derby. Since our inception our projects have afforded us to be involved in some of the UK’s most prestigious Automotive and Motorsport industry lead projects. These experiences collectively have contributed to our ever growing knowledge which we are able to offer our customers today.

Lee Hickling, Managing Director said “We have overcome a variety of challenges this year by my management team and staff have given 110% and I couldn’t be prouder of the success we have achieved as a business. With all that being said we are looking forward to celebrating another successful year in 2019.”

Professional MotorSport WorldExpo – 2018

The Professional MotorSport WorldExpo took place this year on 7 November – 9 November. It is a three day annual Motorsport exhibition tailored to Motorsport professionals hosted at Koln Messe in Germany.

Exhibitors were displaying the latest products and technologies across all aspects of motorsport: performance, race car equipment /accessories, testing and development, safety and more. The show also had a multitude of workshops for delegates to attend during the course of the event.

Matt Charlton, Head of Business Development commented on the event saying “This was my first time at the Professional MotorSport WorldExpo and although relatively small it provided a good opportunity to meet potential customers who may not always show up on our radar. Well worth the visit.”

Composites Europe – 2018

Composites Europe took place this year on 6 November – 8 November. It is a two day annual European trade fair and forums for composites, technologies and applications. Taking place in Stuttgart, Germany having 365 exhibitors from 30 nations, 8,148 visitors from 71 countries. This year the exhibition featured the matchmaking section a networking and meeting area for delegates.

Matt Charlton, Head of Business Development commented on the event saying “Although quieter than previous years Composites Europe still continues to attract a wide range of exhibitors, particularly with higher volume / automation applications in mind. As ever there was a strong presence from the European Automotive OEMs.”

The Advanced Engineering Show 2018

The Advanced Engineering Show is a two day exhibition and is the UK’s largest annual advanced manufacturing trade show based at the NEC, Birmingham, offering attendees and exhibitors the chance to network with other businesses within the manufacturing industry.

The team this year attended as delegates in order to view the new technologies and innovative products which are now available within the composite industry.

EPM Composites Limited gains AS9100 Approval

EPM Composites Limited are pleased to announce that we have successfully passed our AS9100 audit for manufacturing and machining composite components for aerospace, defence and space industries. The Quality department have worked with BSi throughout the whole audit process which was conducted at the beginning of June 2018 and has only taken seven months to achieve this accreditation. The new Rev D Standard will also make the company continuously improve too.
